Rockwool
Rockwool insulation is great for soundproofing. This can be used between units in an apartment building, or multi family home. Rockwool is installed in batt form and has a higher R-Value than fiberglass. It is durable with an unlimited lifetime.
What we offer:
Spray Foam
Spray foam insulates, air seals, and sound proofs making it the best option overall. Spray foam dries quickly, and is strong. Spray foam is most commonly used in box sills and crawl spaces. Spray foam is the best option for mobile home skirting. Sprayed on the inside of the skirting, it air seals as well as insulates to help with freezing pipes. We use industrial 2 part foam that is treated with a fire retardant.
Blown-in Cellulose
Cellulose insulation is made from recycled newspaper with borate added as a fire and pest retardant. It has a high insulation value, is made from 75 to 80 percent recycled materials (mostly newspaper), and it requires far less energy to produce than most other insulation options. Cellulose is the most cost-effective option for those looking to insulate their homes.
Fiberglass
Fiberglass batts are another cost effective option, though more expensive than cellulose. They do not settle, but can be affected by moisture. Fiberglass comes in rolls and batts and is installed between the studs during construction.
Combination installs
Insulation can be installed in multiple forms. Our most popular combination is fiberglass batts in the walls, spray foam in the box sills, and blow in cellulose for the attic. We will discuss with you the different options and help you decide what is best for your particular insulation needs.
Air Sealing
Reducing the amount of air that leaks in and out of your home is a cost-effective way to cut heating and cooling costs, improve durability, increase comfort, and create a healthier indoor environment. We use a fire retardant foam to seal up windows, doors and all wall and floor penetrations. In new construction we also seal behind electrical outlets, fire code electrical wires, and seal along the rim board.
The Results
The US Dept. of Energy reports that 49% of the average American’s energy bill is for the heating and cooling of their home. They also report that proper home insulation and attic sealing can save 10-20% over your pre-upgraded bill. That percentage increases if your home is older and/or has little to no insulation. Each year experts predict higher and higher numbers that homeowners will spend to keep their homes in comfortable temperatures, and proper insulation is the best way you can offset those costs. A properly done home energy assessment will identify the best ways you can upgrade and correct your home insulation, resulting in as much as 30% in savings.
